Early Days...

Founded over 100 years ago, J Exley Ltd is a family run business specialising in the dismantling, movement and installation of all kinds of heavy industrial machinery. The company was well established as a specialist in the removal and installation of heavy textile machinery by the late 1950's and we have continued to develop and extend our expertise since.

Over the years our capacity to move larger, heavier and more complex machinery has increased to meet the demands of our customers old and new. From delicate CNC Computer Controlled machinery requiring careful handling on our trailers with air suspension giving smoother ride, to large engineering plant weighing many tonnes, woodworking machinery, printing presses and power generating equipment, to name but a few.

Present Day...

Now in its fourth generation J Exley Ltd has progressed and diversified from its humble beginnings serving the textile industry into other key areas such as food manufacture, chemicals, engineering and the glass industry to name but a few.
